Objectives: This study was conducted to examine the marital conflict process of Korean couples experiencing divorce crises.

The central phenomenon identified was ¡°loss of the meaning of life,¡± triggered by ¡°absence of self-control,¡± ¡°family conflict,¡± and ¡°marital conflict.¡± The core category was defined as go forward from a meaningless life to a new life.
